How the call-out fee works
When you call, the electrician asks what is happening and tells you the call-out fee for your postcode and the time of day. Only when you accept it do we set off. The fee exists because reaching you urgently at 3am costs real time and fuel.
It covers travel to your property, a full assessment of the fault and making the installation safe. For many callouts, making safe and a small repair happen in the same visit, so the call-out fee is all you pay.
What affects the price
- Time of day. Weekday daytime is our standard rate. Evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays cost more.
- Distance. Most of Greater Manchester is one rate. The far edges of Cheshire East take longer to reach.
- The repair itself. Parts and time for anything beyond making safe are quoted in full before we start.
After the assessment
Once we know what is wrong, you get a fixed quote for the repair. You approve it first, every time. If the sensible answer is a planned daytime visit rather than a night repair, we tell you that too.
How you can pay
Card, bank transfer or cash on the night. Landlords and businesses can be invoiced to an account. You always get a receipt and a written record of the work.
